Measuring High AC/DC Current Accurately and Safely

Metcal_Measuring High ACDC Current Accurately and Safely

Clamp Meter is an electrical instrument used to measure alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC), commonly measure from 500 A to 1000 A, through the jaws without contact or need to disconnect and inserting a probe. Other functions include Voltage, Resistance and Continuity.

This equipment is widely used by electrical technician to conduct troubleshooting of AC/DC systems, measure current in motors, load current, voltage, continuity of switches, fuses and contacts, measure leakage current, testing insulation on live circuits, grounding and bonding resistance.

Clamp meter calibration is commonly performed at a low frequency AC value (50 Hz or 60 Hz) to evaluate no defects or damages to the current coil due to mishandling or accidents. Magnetomotive Force (MMF) generated is correct and operate within specification – affirming the current measurements you make is reliable.

Metcal can provide clamp meter calibration services up to 1000 A – ISO 17025 Accredited.

Value-added service options include Parts replacement and Premium 1-Day turnaround.
