The course covers metrology, measurement traceability and instrument knowledge, with hands-on calibration practice covering procedures, corrections, test limits, maintenance and basic measurement uncertainty.

Measurement Uncertainty Calculation

Develop a clear understanding of measurement uncertainty and its application in calibration through this 2-day course.

Learn how to identify uncertainty sources, evaluate contributors, build uncertainty budgets and calculate standard and expanded uncertainty based on the GUM.

The course covers Type A and Type B evaluation, acceptance criteria, reporting and practical calculations, with hands-on exercises using Microsoft Excel.
