Weighing Balance is an instrument used to ascertain the weight or mass of an object and is available in a variety of sizes with multiple weighing capacities. Weighing scale is one of the most used equipment in every industry. Certain industries impose a very strict requirement for the accuracy of a weighing scale, otherwise, it may become one of the prime disturbances in a whole business and requirements.

Over time, weighing balance’s accuracy will drift or be distorted due to external factors such as environment condition (air temperature, air velocity, humidity, vibration), weighing method and object being weight. Influences originating from weighing balance – readability, repeatability, non-linearity, eccentric loading, deviation from correct value etc.

According to experts, all weighing scales should be calibrated regularly, once a year, because any analog/digital weighing scale may become faulty due to several external factors. By weighing scale calibration means, fixing any imperfections in the weighing scale after comparing it to the industrial standards.
