Rotational Viscometer measures dynamic viscosity by rotating a spindle at a precise speed and measures the torque needed to overcome the viscous resistance to the induced movement caused by the presence of sample fluid between the spindle and sample container.

As viscometer’s spindle rotates continuously, the mechanical moving parts, spring and sensor accuracy will diminish over time, which can lead to intermittent or inaccurate readings.
